To help the mother to become the most informed you can be with fact-based evidence so you can make the best decisions possible...
To help dispel any fears and concerns the mother may have concerning the birthing process by someone she can lean on for all types of support...
To help prepare the mother for the birth in as many ways as possible. -emotionally, physically, mentally, & informationally/educationally. I do this by educating her on the birthing process and giving ALL the risks & benefits on all interventions/procedures so that she can make informed decisions...
To provide the mother and her support person with gentle guidance and my full support throughout the entire laboring process in as much a way as she wishes me to be involved...
To teach the mother how to advocate for herself effectively so that she can find her own true power to relate her desires...
To help the mother achieve the birth atmosphere she has dreamed of and that she is fully capable of having as an empowered, informed and fully supported woman. This is her time to shine. Let me be her helping hands & soothing spirit within her support structure.
