My Second was 10 yrs later, have a nurse midwife. Tried for natural, but he turned footling breech 2 weeks before delivery. We tried an external version but he would not be turned. I talked them into finding an OB who had attended a vaginal breech birth and letting me try it. He had folded his legs up so they felt it was ok to proceed! They made me have an epidural just in case it had to be a C-section. But thankfully he rolled out bottom first! No episiotomy! But he did break my tailbone! It was beautiful though! Because I didn't have to have a C!
My Third was only 5 yrs ago and I had a Doula and she was indispensable! I was able to have her naturally! It was amazing! She was much more alert than others had been in those first hours. I didn’t have an episiotomy and my husband was able to focus on me! She helped me stay more focused on my goal of making it through the pain and not asking for the drugs! I was high from adrenaline and it was wonderful being completely in control and being able to listen to my body the entire time!
